Hey, you.
Can we have a minute?
Have You Done Something “Nice” for Yourself Today?
When we think of the term “nice” we typically associate the term to an act of doing something generous for others aside from ourselves or associate the term to conveying a thoughtful expression to another.
But, have we thought about any of the “nice” acts, words, and/or moments we’ve allowed ourselves to receive? And at this very moment, have you considered doing something “nice” for you today? How’s that, for a change?
So please, do tell. Have You Done Something “Nice” for Yourself today?
In a world where many get caught up in the daily routine of life, it’s easy to lose sight of the positive aspects of life. One being that many have become numb to is the prioritizing and doing “appreciative” acts for themselves. It is recognized as foreign to most because of the way we have normalized “the grind”.
Despite the day-to-day routine, Have You Done Something “Nice” for Yourself today?
Did you get to sleep in a bit today?
Did you get to wear those jeans that you’ve been meaning to wear all week?
Did you at least get a chance to make yourself a fulfilling meal?
Have you had a moment to read that book you just put aside for later?
Did you get a moment to just be in silence ?
Let’s be real.
Have you done something “nice” for yourself today?
How many times in a day do we neglect ourselves by setting aside our desires, needs, and wants to serve and nurture others? Perhaps, we’ve simply lost sight of the “u” in Our Lives.
We get stuck going through the motions. Take a spontaneous drive for lunch and treat yourself. Go down to the beach and watch the sunrise or whatever will bring a gentle smile to your face.
At the end of the day, do something “nice” for yourself. You deserve to appreciate you.
